New things finished today. C&C appreciated, the 2 mating birds were supposed to be an illustration for a news paper article but it turned out I had an old painting to suit it better :[. I guess I kinda wasted an afternoon with it. |

the advisor could've used some stronger shading. Not too much, but just a bit to make it more 3d. Otherwise, great job. You didn't waste an afternoon, the pic is still corgeous even if you can't find an actual use for it. I love it. |

I love your stuff Gecko! I visited your page some time ago, saw dozens of fabulous pics I'd never seen before, my jaw made a loud "clang" when it dropped on the floor and rolled somewhere in the corner, and now I'm still looking for it.
I think you wrote you had originally intended to become a herpetologist or something - well, maybe it's the snakes' loss that you decided on illustration instead, but it's definitely our gain
These two are very nice pieces as well. I like animals, and yours look just fabulous - great technique and colors, and there's always a distinct personality to them.

I love the first one!! I love it I love it I love it! ;} Marvelous feel. Love that it's very classic and gritty real with a fantasy tinge to it. ;} Makes me inspired for that children's book I had in mind... oh, if I had the time right now...
;} Great work! I'm also quite fond of the water treatment in the second pic as well. Great colors in the heads too. |
