took about 3 days to finish, quite happy with the quality for this piece.

Oh wow!!! how come nobody has commented on this i wonder?!?
this is awesome!!
I love the whole feeling of it.
the only thing I could sugest is making darks a little darker and lights a little lighter..
up the contrast a bit... but its awesome the way it is. ![](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) |

the background could've used a bit of more work maybe, and I agree on the contrast thing. Anyhow, great job! George's looking good... (his name was george right?) |

thanks for the comments.
Can definately boost the levels a bit, but not too much. I want it to be a grayish kinda day.
As for the detail in the bg, i can probably do a bit more work on it, but not to much as to fight with the main bonobo. I've chosen to place the detail in the face and the hands.
The effect i'm going for is a subtle, slightly out of focus background.
at least for this particular piece, i don't really feel like detailing the whole scene. |

I think I might lose the BG all together, create some grye/blue or smudged BG instead of a picture. The ape is frickin amazing, the BG is currently taking away from it. The only thing I might work with the ape is take the contrats up (as discussed), actually, maybe ease the wrinkle lines on his face? Something seems too harsh about it... |

I realy like it! The colors are sooo great!
maybe the tree in the background is a little bit too detailed compared to the green in the middle.
