This looks quite good.
The only thing I *might* work on is the lighting and the stars. They seem a little too crisp for my taste. But then id have to seem the not so crisp too know.
good work. |

thought i would try something with a little different perspective than what i've always done. i felt a little stagnant. comments and critiques very welcome.

Nice! I love the colors and the subject. You've got a great painting here. My only crit is that her right forearm looks a little flat. That may just be me though. :P
This is the wallpaper o' the week for me now. |

Whoa! I like this one a lot. Nice handling of the perspective. The only thing that sticks out to me is the lighting on her skin. She's lit by this warm, orange light although it looks like she would be lit by moonlight, given the night setting.
Just a minor thing though... gotta love those sneakers! |

This is great! I love the style of painting you have here, and the perspective works very well. She's very cute as well. ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

wow, thanks for all the comments!
bloodstone and nevanlinna, you're both right, that arm does look flat, i realized it but then forgot to go back and fix it. i'll work on it more.
el scoono: it doesn't really show it in the picture, but i invisioned her being lit by one of those orange halogen streetlights. i tried making sort of an orange glow, and the light itself, but it "broke" the picture, know what i mean?
steve: thanks! i'm sure she'd be flattered to know you think she's cute. *giggles*
light: the lighting on her, or on the stars? i'm not sure i follow the last sentence.
cleoric: WOOHOO! i'm very flattered!
jasonN: i did use some references, tho heavily changed.
NiM: thanks! it feels great to know your picture invokes the feeling of some kind of story. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I love the work. There are some parts where your work flattens out like the forearm and the shoe on the left side. I think you need bring in more light on that side and bring the form out more.
The warm colors you chose for the subject is great. Don't change them, they really set a interesting mood that defies what one would usually expect from a bat girl.
If there is one logical flaw that really stands out, it would be angle of the plane she is sitting on. I'm trying to imagine where her butt is sitting on, on that roof top or whatever. And all I can think of is either her butt isn't lying on that roof or she's got a really long torso.
Personally I really like how those Converse shoes really bring out the "cuteness" in the girl. (Can I get her number?) If it weren't for those shoes the pic would feel a little too dark. The starry background is also a good point of contrast. Keep up the great work.
