Hi everybody. My name is Kellar, I'm 19, and I'm gonna be studying illustration as of next year. This is my first CG painting from life (I put a mirror next to my computer). It's done entirely in Painter Classic (...came with my tablet...)

Agree with Light here, daring & interesting colours. It's a nice start on the forum, methinks. Have you been using a digital tablet for long? You wield it well

nice self portrait for a first digital try..
yea a background would be nice.. but not very necessary if it was just a study..
was there a single light source?

congrats on getting into Illustration.. i know a couple people who got in..
