Hey i'm this is the first portrait of a series that I am doing for my Higher School certificate (yr12)..

This must be the worst digital camera I have ever used.. The paper is white btw!!!

anyway i'd appreciate any comments. Even though you can barely see the stupid thing. I'll try and take a better pic later..

That's pretty good man
but I think that your arms are a bit small and out of proportion and the shoulders just seem a little odd.

the head is very good though

VERY good! Pretty "colorful" for a pencil portrait! (Those digital cameras...)

Awesome!
I can imagine that in art express
I assume they're pretty big, so what are the dimensions?

Keep it up and you'll do fine. Are you going to try to get into digital media or do you have another course in mind??

The lighting is nice, I like it. As usual, it looks really solid. I really can't find much to critique, except the hand looks kinda small. Maybe you have small hands, who knows. You rock, keep it up.

What light are you taking the picture in? I know with my super-crappy camera, I have to take the pictures in full sunlight. Under normal house-hold light the colors simply won't show up at all.

Whoa... first off, you've improved a *LOT* Freddio.

I actually don't agree with the comments suggesting that the arms aren't in proportion. I get the impression that you were trying to achieve a foreshortening effect. In my opinion, it was successful. I really don't have any issues with it at all.

The light source is consistent, and not boring in the least. The values seem well placed except for the shadow underneath the arm. It is pitch black, and sticks out like sore thumb. I dunno if that was the camera that did that or not.

Other than that tiny little thing, I can't say that I see anything "wrong" with this at all. Great job!!
