Felt like doing a portrait this evening, so I booted up Painter 7 and did this one of Tina. Took about 6 hours.

Oops. Tina just pointed out that 6 hours is incorrect, since we had dinner, snuggled for a bit, and then I played through 2 levels of Medal Of Honor. That makes it about 4 hours.

Nope. I wouldn't have a live session when I'm painting on the computer--I only do that for traditional paintings. It was from a pic I took.

saripol-- It was only 963 x 1069. Not big at all. I didn't see the point in working large for this one. In fact, it was only supposed to be a quick brush work exercise, but turned into a pretty finished piece--which is NOT what I wanted. I wanted to do a quick Sargent-esque study, but ended up making it too polished.

I only used the palette knife, opaque flat, and opaque round.

I originally was going to post the script for the entire session, but I deleted the rif file. I'll remember to save the rif file next time and post the steps.

It actually took 4 hours, since I goofed off for a while around dinner time.

As far as tuts go, you can do a search for my Melancholic Princess thread in the WIP section. I had posted tons of inbetween steps for that painting.
