Not to be a penis, but I trust Loki's judgment on this. Loki is very well respected in his industry and has a relatively trained eye for this type of thing.
And micke is our resident Fett expert. The two combined certainly make me skeptical.
I'd be quite interested in seeing that television scan as well. |

theo: very nice.
theo&cheney:
But consider this - one of the main aspects of this forum is to learn from each other and to help each other out.
When somebody comes along with a paintover, that they want to sell as a painting from scratch then that's nothing we can learn from - maybe except how to discover paintovers.
I just think it's dishonest and not very mature.
That's other members and I usually go ahead and try to point things like that out.
There's no problem with using photographic reference of course (too many threads on this already). Even paintovers are fine as long as one doesn't present it as a painting made from scratch - then people feel cheated.
Why not just stating what you used, so people can gage your artwork better. He said C&C after all, and mine is that it's a paintover ... |

I just went back to view some of your recent posts Senate, and I gotta say, you are one huge asshole. For someone that obviously traces over photos with his mouse, you certainly give some harsh critiques:
--------------------------------------------
she looks like rubber, proportions are all wrong on her head, and you have different perspectives going on here
To speak frankly, the folds in your clothing make you look like you have 2 boobs on your right side, and an erection in your zipper.
Ok, here we go:
Her head is too small, her and left eyeball is missing. The hair is no excuse, based on where the other eye is, her left eye should be visible EXCEPT for the portion of hair covering the eye.
Whats with the right shoulder? It looks like a mountain is incomprehensibly growing out of her upper body.
The left arm is FAR too long, and theres not even an elbow or joint between upper arm and forearm.
Her butt-to-thighs is really awkward looking, and deformed with strange angularities in random spots. Smooth it out.
Her left leg is thinner than the right one.
Annnd, her ankles appear too thin.
I'll work from the top down.
First off, whats with the fairly obvious arrow comments? We can all see he has long hair, as well as the fact that there are spikes on his boots, etc. Side comments are only used when trying to clarify possibly vague features on a concept, when that concept will be used as a reference by another person.
The guy has no eyes, and if those 2 lines are eyes, where are his eyeballs or eyebrows?
His mouth is far too distant from his nose..bring it up.
Work on the muscle anatomy on his arms, right now, his arms look really mushy, and those lines look more like stretch marks.
He only has 4 fingers on his left hand, and his thumb is as long and slender as his index finger.
His legs are way, way, too short. Lengthen them up a bit.
And why does the crotch of his pants end at the beginning of his boots? What happened to his thighs and upper leg?
Looks like a freaky hybrid of a rat and Mickey Mouse..not my cup of tea
It looks like a complete ripoff of Buu from DragonBall Z.
And last but not least, the first contraversial thread where people were questioning senate's elite painting skills:

When did I say it wasn't a paintover?
Pixelsoldier, I really don't care what you think about my critiques of other people's works if I don't like them. Stop whining. If you always cry like this over reading posts on a forum, perhaps you should seek ways to improve your emotional outbursts.
And as for the Scarface, sorry boys, but that work was entirely my own. Hate to burst your self-dillusion bubble. |

Of course you didn't say it was a paintover. You thought you skillfully call it "did a scene from ...".
Senate, you're a bloody little threnodizer and the way you talk to people doesn't speak for you either. Why don't you go look for Mongoose - he'd be a great partner for you.
The scarface image was removed, so I can't judge that. But this is a paintover.
Show us some 'original' artwork of your's - then we can continue talking. Until then you're just another little troll that will get washed out from here sooner or later ...
Have a good one ... |

If you, in this username or any other, continue to violate the rules of the messageboard, and purposely continue to lie and flame to all of sijun, then it's incredibly simple to send an email to [email protected] and have your account revoked for violating their TOS agreement which has a clause against spamming. if that isn't enough then cablevision the parent company can be alerted. |
