I am very new to this and by no means a proffesional artist ( am I in the wrong place?)
This was originally a digital photo of a 1950 Mercury. |

i dunno john... theres like some rules in this forum that just havta be followed.
your most welcomed to post your pictures, but theres a slim chance youll get a response if all you present is a photograph that went through one filter.
i cant really give you the credit of creating this pic, which by the way is interesting, but the sole creator of the plug-in should have recongnition.
if your new then dont be shy to try drawing a portrait or a still life. then and only then do i feel that you will get an honest critique and maybe some info which will help with your technique.
so get your pencil, pen or marker and show us what your freehand skills look like.
thats your homework...plz dont be shy, we are here to help. ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

I disagree (somewhat). If this is your chosen style of art, keep doing it. But you won't get much response here. |

Hey John, thats pretty wild. I think its interesting. There are both proffessionals and amateurs here; you're quite welcome.
Um....Molako. You just assigned homework over an art forum. You feeling okay? This piece may not be a one filter job, he could have used the smudge tool. Either way, this is a digital art forum, so why are you telling people to go use pencils and paper.

It's the "Wave" filter as far as I can tell - applied to a foto of the front of a car.
Hm. Yes, you won't get a lot of responses.
Why don't you look around the forum first and see what the bulk of the people are doing. Might inspire you - because filtergames get boring after a week or so ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

Well guys I have broused the forum and have been inspired, I will try something closer to what is ordinarly posted here, it will be a while though, it is obvious that a lot of work goes into your projects, and having never tried it , things will go s l o w.
As for the filter application, specific components of the front of a car were cut out, distorted and placed in an altogether different arrangement, mostly twirl, some fade , but more cut and paste than anything. It was not simply hitting a button and getting this. Admittingly, it is altogether different, than the "norm" seen here.
P.S. Thanks for not "slamming this post! ![](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) |
