this looks very good, but i think you can make the clouds alittle more fluffy, and softer. just a suggestion though. see if you can do that and still keep your style, see how wyeth (sp?) does it. |

for the depth thing, if you made the rocks darker behind him it would help.

Thanks everybody. You are all right about the clouds and depth of field business. More fluff would be good. I think they look more like porridge than clouds, but I was done.

since its kinda afternoonish..you should saturate the colors a bit more maybe, and some more contrast

yeah. very nice picture. I think it would help if you had a darker backround, and softer clouds. Those clouds looks a bit like smoke, or something....you see?
But otherwise, very good! |

this is what I did quikly, a paintover. I think those clouds looks better in this, just my opinion, and....check it yourself..
here comes...

God, this is a beautiful image. I'm rapidly falling in love with it. Great style. Love the flower pieces he's got, makes the thing so sentimental without getting into kitsch.
Only thing I'm not sure about is the hard edge between the light and dark parts of the clouds.
But really great work. |

clouds do look really good.. Ive never been able to succesfully paint fluffy clouds.. Ill learn one day.
