Hi
This was my entry to Don's contest this last month. I am not very happy with the 'boss' frog and will probably repaint it sometime in the future. But for now it is what it is... C&c appreciated!

This is looking great BooMSticK. I really like the frogs, the slithery, wet skin is coming across very well and they seem to have life to them.
Crit wise, maybe cast stronger shadows
onto the lillypad from the girl and flower. Shadow perhaps looks a little weak. Also ripple up the reflection from the far left flower, it looks a little too clean like on a mirror. All in all tho looking really good so far. |

That's a cute lil' painting. I love the lily pads. The fairy reminds me of Princess Zelda without a dress . |

my favorite thigns are the water drops. hehe silly me.
the frogs could look wetter and slimier - right now they look like dry toads. try shoving in more of those slithers of white. |

Great pic! Now, if only you had a great big tounge coming out of the one frog's mouth, just about to snatch the tasty fairy off of the leaf..... ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

hmm the only thing I might suggest is to put a gold crown on the one frogs head.. that might be a but cliche but it might do the trick. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

hi all. thx for replying!
Jujube - thank you.
Morbid guy - thx Kyri! good suggestions. I'll keep them in mind if I will be going over the painting one last time. I probably will eventually. When I have had a little more time away from it...
SolarC - thx.
Sedone - thx. it does? No one has said that yet. Though alot have said it reminded them of tommylil' (that's what I think the fairy tale is called in english)
Pat - Thank you very much! I have a series of paintings to show you soon. All done with the milky brush! It's soooo fine Keep in touch!
Evil - actually I like them too You are right. I ran out of time so I didn't so much wettness to as I would have liked.
Raidiator -
Awestopsy - hey! that's not at all stupid. I really might actually do that.
Unit - thank you!
Luna - thanks!

That's fantastic, very well thought out.
In the interest of being helpful, I tried to find something to critique. All I can really pick is the Frog skins, I could imagine there being more of a mucous like slick.
But I can't offer this crit with great conviction, I like it. |
