it's looking good so far.. i think your bump maps needs some tweaking- the pores are a little too uniform- use some reference to get it right..same goes for the shininess/specularity maps.
the one real problem, though, is the hair- on the head, beard, eyelashes- it just doesn't cut it. it's way to dark and bold, and the transition between bare skin to haired skin is sharp and unrealistic.
one way of dealing with it would be to use a combination of texture maps along with the geometry- make the bearded area, for example, darker in texture- and create a smoother transition between skin and hair.
another thing worth trying is to narrow down the instanced hair strand object and use more copies of it (i'm assuming that's how it's done, so ignore me if i'm wrong). |
