I made this with the intention of changing the world by means of mediocrity.

I subscribe to that very same philosophy! Paradigm shifting is far more gratifying when you're ordinary.
Man, I need to keep a scorecard to keep track of all your account changes.
Oh yeah, nice work.

yeah! nice work! i like the texture and colors. i also think the skulls are rendered very well. it seems to me these would be interesting as a series.
my only crit would be that one on the left feels like a real ape skull, while the one on the right is clearly fantasy. if they were to work as a series i think they'd have to be one style or the other. |

"Paradigm" is one of my favorite words
the pics are pretty mediocre.. so I guess you accomplished that part of your goal.
actually i like the paintings... seem kinda native american somehow. |

The face on the right is totally whacked out...I agree with the above post it has a Native American feel to it. Lots of character to it too. I'm not crazy about the white halo around the skull...it almost looks like you erased around it and forgot to repaint in the details. sorry to nit pic on otherwise "mediocre" work |

What up, patto. I havent had my paradigm shifted in ages. What i wouldn't give...
elscoony, thanks. The one on the right was suposed to be a mask, guess it needs some more clues.

Oh what a wonderful collection of images. I just love the tight rendering of these two craniums. You really see the form of the two erupting from my CRT. Oh and yes love your sketches. They fill my heart with a need to render upon my table a scribble or two.
JN
How's that for a shift... ? |

thanks, Sac, Valarian & Molako.
this is part of a series, so of, although I only have one other and it's not as finished as this one. I'll post the rest as they come. |

I love these. Very nice indeed. I'm not sure which is my favorite though... both are rendered beautifully |

man i dunno who confused the mask with a "fantasy skull", but whatever.
i must disagree with el scoono. these two have so much in common and they should be presented in a series. lookin at this piece makes me wonder how man kind started to use masks to connect to teh animal world.
this work is just flippin great. i would hiope that you might do some eagle skulls and feather hats in the future...jus a suggestion |
