oouuuuuuhhhh he's purple ^_^

Really nice image! The angle is very original. The only thing that bothers me is his skin tone ... it's too yellowy~

Ohhh, nice! Perspective is great. The skin tones strike me as a little bit too yellow though. Nice work!

Put me down for too yellow.

The perpsective and overall image is amazing, the only thing that bothers me a bit is his right "ear" looks too inclined towards the outside.

hey all! thx for commenting...

Gargoyle - thx.
RealT - lol. thx!
FFnex - thx. You might be right about that. Thx for pointing that out!
Totuus - I can see what youre getting at - that the back of his head might be abit too big. But the way you have drawn the 'magic marker' lines you now have a more straight on perspective. What you have drawn is more front on and some of the perspective is lost now I think. But thanks anyway
Poxen - thx! Where is it that you would like more dark put in? Around the eye or in the eye it self?

I think the skin is okay as it is. If his mask were to be more blue the skin would be too yellow, but since it's purple the tones complement each other.

I agree with totuus, the head is too big on the top. In any case, I think the fin on the right side of his head (our right) is too far back to be coming out of the exact opposite place as the fin on the left.

Bump - hehe. noted! what is the score?
Allan W - thx. read a little further

Changed the backhead alittle. Moved the back fin alittle forward and added light to the left shoulder. Also smoothed out the area between the ear and the chin to erase the 'hole' feeling that was there.

old version can still be seen here:

Yes they are complimentary colors, but the fact is that you have a much brighter yellow right below the face, which makes it look pale. Cover the sign (?) with your hand and you'll see what I mean.

Sorry for my english

I also think that the tone of the skin is too yellow. You should arrange that with just a color layer in photoshop.
The biggest prob I see comes from your pers.
The head is not too big but looking for the effect you drew the face too turned to the character's left if you refer to the skull. So the face is not in the pers anymore.
I made a little sketch to show you what I mean.
Even, it's a good work.
Cheers !

heya fabrys
I can see what you mean that the face looks as if its too far rotated to his left side. I think that to some degree this is something that is enhanced by the shadow on the forhead. I should make the forehead darker to his rightside. I think this will eliminate much of this rotated 'look' you mention.
thx for posting
