dang, haven't been to the forums in a while! Stuff's been crazy, but settled down a bit now. I developed a new style for my painting class. Basically, I don't like to paint... so I paint rough shapes, then draw the details on top with a magic marker. I reproduced the technique in photoshop.. tell me what you guys think

I, very much, like your style... and especially like that picture. I think I'm going to try painting something with that technique in my next art class.

I really like the scratchy line work, but the coloring you added really just doesn't fit in. On one side you have the harsh, scratchy, black or white line art. And on the other side you have the soft, fuzzy, blurry coloring that doesn't line up with the image. I don't know if that is what you were going for, but I think it detracts from the piece

Interesting. I think I'd like to see more.

I also think I might like it better if the color stayed within the lines, as it doesn't strike me as distorted enough to justify it.

thanks, I though something looked odd... I think I'll redo the color layer in painter so I can get a rougher look.

Your background looks too fuzzy to me... The void gives us a feeling of lonliness, despair. You should try to fill he back with a uniform black just to see. I think it'd look great, red against black.

that's really awesome. i'd be in half a mind to turn the saturation down on the background, not sure.
