This is a character from Gunnm by Yukito Kishiro. I did the lines a couple weeks ago, and just got around to coloring it today. I like how the head came out, but I got frustrated with the body when I couldn't get the look I wanted, so I think I left it rather half assed. Any tips?

nice drawing, very nice. I think her right under arm is a bit to long, and the abdominals (is that the right word?), I think its better to do that in one part now it looks like its just a bunch of blocks on here suit.
I really like the head.. and nice coloring. |

Cool, the head and face are really nice, I think she should be thinner with a more simple form, look at some reference (maybe even some Evangelion pics).
The breasts look a bit flat, I dunno if you just rushed that but try using similar techniques as in the manga to give them depth. |

Nice work, Balistic!
As for the original, it looks very nice -- realisticly proportioned, which you don't see enough of (not that I don't love the skinny-stick girls). You don't really need to redraw her, in my opinion. But her face is smoothed, and the bodysuit has plenty of sketchmarkes. Go over that thing! Vectorize! It's nice. |
