very nice job. Your style reminds me a bit of Mullins' with the scribbling in order to create texture and movement.
I think the piece could deffinatley be a bit more dynamic though, maybe a sunrise/sunset in the background, or a dragon and a rider or something. It could just be that I've been a little obsessed with sunrises latley in my paintings... Also the lighting seems a bit off. Nice job though! You've got a great style

It's a nice castle - great location for one! Quick crit: I find your range of lights to dark to be too narrow. Darker darks in the shadow's should make your piece a little more 3D. |

I agree that it lacks a certain dynamic and yes, Craig was certainly a big inspiration.

That always seems to be my problem. I always end up with not enough darkness and light.
That will certainly help me in my next piece... |
