Here you go friend:
Colors are a little bit flat. Maybe you could use some very subtle variations over the disc and pens? A texture on the table would make it look pretty. Keep going!

Pretty good skillz... some problems in the drawing itself, and Henrik mentioned the flat areas. Nice reflections on the pen, good observation.
Oh' so' familiar objects... ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

The reflection was the first detail i noticed. Good! This study has a familiar feeling to it.
if i'm to be picky i'd say the shape of the disc looks a bit tapered.
I guess that you probably know the following stuff already, but I have to follow up my critisism with something:
It may look silly.. but you can always use your pen the classic "artsy farsy" way to measure lines and angles (straight arm. perfectly vertical, hold it in a steady grip and use your thumbnail for measuring lengths). Use any kind of horiontal or vertical lines to compare to. For confusing shapes and objects that are up close to you, shut one eye to calm down those dancing lines. Combine this with studying the negative shapes (air) around and between your objects and you'll have the superhero skill of taming wild stillife.
Any of you Henric(k)s go by the nickname of Penk?
Remember showing me this forum in 3d-graphics class? Thanks! It's a great forum. I just found it again. /Zoran |
