Finally finished this one. I'm not happy with the shadow. But I like the image overall. Let me know what you all think. Thanks!

It looks a bit more like tundra than desert. I like the girl's dress though, you accomplished the folds well ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I know this might not be the best painting, but I'd love to get some comments and suggestions about it from you guys. It's messed up that [666]Flat will post ricidulous cartoons and he gets all kinds of replies. |

I like the colour. her red skirt is very striking in the b/w surroundings. The yellow satellite of the moon could be desaturated a bit, if it wasn't mean to have some significance.
From the woman's height, I gather she is meant to be seen from a higher angle, like 45 degrees above? if that's the case, I think the foreshortening isn't turning out well. her upper torso and hips still doesn't look right for that angle, might use wire-frame boxes as guides to get the main form of her body right.
The moon is directly in front of her. try cast the shadow in accordance to that. |

Yeah it's sad how we try and ask for critique and only get 3 replies, and then the post they say that aren't worth their time alawys get the most replies.
I think your desert looks flat. I'm not sure, but I think if it was night time there would be way more shadows on the ground. Even if your picture was set in day time it would still look flat. I think it be neat if there was a little bit more dust passing by her in the middle of the picture. Still good painting keep it up.
