once i'm finished shading i'm going to photoshop it and try to smooth it out some. she doesn't look so tiny and skinny on paper, my scanner is doing that .. gotta play with it to figure out why.
does anybody have any tutorials on shading, or more specifically smoothing? there's a big difference from my darks to my lights, and it's not much of a smooth transition on most parts. i normally just find a color that can be applied to most of the skin, light light gray or whatever, and then just darken as i need to ... but this time i added all the black first, which i'm regretting. anyway .. help? hehe
--edit : sorry, i posted this in the wrong forum

The head doesn't really fit... it's problematic and kinda too big. the neck is too wide definitely.
and on the shading, try using regular pencils and shade with the flat side, that's the best technique i found so far. |

I totally agree with T
Her neck is tree-trunk proportions and her face is a bit stretched. Good body though.
I'm wondering if the left breast is a bit too far left? |

i agree about the neck .. the face though, that's all the scanner. i dunno, maybe i can take a pic of it with my webcam or digicam to show what it really looks like, won't be as much detail but you'll be able to see the sizes more accurately i think.
as for the breast ... i dunno, you think? |
