I like the simple color scheme and the 4 frames in the picture. Very cool, very 'hip'

It kinda reminds me of the Pixar lamp that hops around in their logo

I like it too! The colors are just great and I really enjoy the loose drawings. The type gets a bit crowded though, but I'm sure it looks entirely different in print.

Hello and welcome to sijun.

I think the idea of a dancing lamp is cute. Hard to convey different style of dances with a lamp though.

BTW, I'm in Fuzhou, Fujian(visiting here. I'm an American). I was in Beijing in September last year. Pretty interesting place.

I have keeping drawing cartoon many years(from 14),now I wish I could continue graduate study in Art in US or Canada.

ANN dont worry about language barriers... just let the art speak for itself

But about the poster: The lamps are great..very fresh concept with that old 80's graphic art style ( simple vectors... simplicity is my goal always). The four squares dont allow your eyes to flow across and around teh poster though. Im guessing its the hard straight edges that bind the four scenes. Plus the Text. i think it doesnt fit. its to clean edged as opposed to the artwork u did with the lamps... you should have "drawn" the letters instead.
Great poster though, you took a great leap by trying to represent dance styles with lamps. (if you need some help with graphics you can send me a message, always help to have four eyes look at a piece)

I think you have a good idea going, but in my opinions the lamps dont portrey anything to me. Besides there being text that says _dance, the lamps dont tell you on their own. This isn't easy in any means, but when you dance theres movement and the drawing dont show movement. The easiest way would be to do some animation in flash, or small .gif. Another way is my changing the drawings and making them feel like theres movement going on, by putting shadowing of where the lamp had moved before and lines of movements. I would also have the whole image moved to the center of the page. I hope something i said helps.
