I'll be moving to San Diego ASAP to work for Presto(Dudes/Dudettes that made Myst III: Exile).

Woo hoo!!!

*whew* That was close. I thought I would have to go back to doing sales/retail or something. . ..

I know some Presto kids hang out here. Wanna introduce yourselves(or not, if you guys want to remain anonymous)?

cool stuff. i, on the other hand, will find out in 2 weeks whether i'm one of the lucky ones- over 1/4 of our company will be laid off.

big bosses fucked up everything..

Hopefully I'll be done with moving/unpacking a month from now. Then, I'll scan in some of the stuff I've been doing lately.

Jussi, that sucks. I hope you don't get axed. I know we've had our differences, but I do think you are a good guy, no matter how much angst you manage to dish out on a daily basis.

If they are stupid enough to let you go, would you want to come to this somewhat messed up country to work in games? If you can get your visa taken care of and line up a few interviews, you are welcome to crash with me if you are in my area.

BTW, a huge thanks to all of you who have helped me in my search for a new job. You guys rock!

Thanks, everyone!

I'll be a texture artist there. Yeah, it's a step down from being an art director, but during these hard times in the game industry, one should be grateful to just have a job. Besides, being art director was really stressful.

Anyone in the San Diego area want to suggest a nice area to get an apartment(not too far from Presto)?

I'm apartment hunting right now, and it's such a headache. Can't complain though.
