Hey cool style you got there. I especially like the smooth colour transitions.
One thing that kind of bugs me is that the shadows don't seem consistent. I might be wrong though because I really know little about shading and stuff. |

the background is really off in this i think. it just seems like it was quickly painted there with not much consideration. the golem though is really interesting, and i think it would be difficult to create a background that would suit him/it.
one thing that strikes me is the look on his face. its almost saying to me, " Lookie, im a ROCK GOLUM, and Im happy to be here!!". im not sure if thats the vibe you are wanting to go with, but he looks so happy.
the colors are really interesting but i dont think they are portraying "rock" very adequetly. needs some texture for sure. its almost metalic/plastic looking.
its an interesting style you have. cheers |

hmm thanks for the comments, about his expression im content with it, about there not being sufficient rock texture? this may very well be true... But I have no clue how to achieve this, remember i'm a newb
So If someone could help me out or point me to a tut i'd appreciete it. As for the background, I sort of wanted it to be blurry but I guess maybe I should add some more to it, it is a little gloomy... Maybe ill add more stone and detail and make it somewhat darker.
Thanks for the comments. |
