thats very kick ass !.... Not that you need to add this, but a devil hand that is crushed in the blocks would be a cool subtle element. Like the ANGEL ROCKED THE DEVILS WORLD, and crushed him.
The devil doesnt always have to be the badass, and thats why I think is pic. |

The tone and the colours are wonderful. You've done a great job. I don't think I could've done that in highschool. Bravo. But of course all things could be improved. Today I will help you on composition.
The main area which requires some improvement is in object hierarchy. After looking at a picture, one should immediately be aware of which are the top 5 elements in the image. If you are can't find them, then the problem is that the images are competing against each other for attention. As a result, your brain doesn't know which images to register and it the image becomes 'busy'.
object hierarchy
First, take you image and greyscale it. This is your image.
Next, convert it into a duotone and examine it again.
Do you see how in both images, nothing really stands out? Or shall I say, "Everything sort of stands out equally?"
Now take the greyscale image again and determine which areas you would like to pull out and which ones you want to recede. I've done that for you here:
Do you see how I've analyzed the hierarchy?
The red circles indicate the areas that need viewing first. The yellow lines indicate the areas which will help to pull you eye around the picture.
Finally, I've converted the image to a duotone. Do you see even with a limited colour palette how important hierarchy is and how to develop it? good. Ideally, you should have an odd number of hierarchical elements.
Four is bad. Five is good.
-good luck and good job! |
