I have been doing a lot of fantasy artwork for along time now. I wanted to make something more sci-fi . After watching the Doom 3 mac world demo yesterday I decided that I wanted to create some mod characters for future modeling when I get time. I will probebly have to dumb down the design a bit, but I just wanted some designs that are really bizarre ..please let me know what you think C&C !!

Very cool! I like the idea of having a mask a foot in front of the face, even if in reality it would block out your vision quite a bit
I'd probably change the left arm so it is less stiff - maybe a chain on which the ball hangs. Cool drawing.

Good drawing, mechanical parts are very cool.
How about making hands a bit shorter. |

Very impressive. I hope this pleases: it seems to me to be in the style of Doug Chaing (looks like his type of work). The concept artist on Star Wars in case anyone didnt know who he was. ![](images/smiles/icon_eek.gif) |

really cool!
Every time I think I did sth pretty descent I see some other awsome work and feel like throwing my own stuff away
You should start outlining it!
That can make things look a whole lot better again!
Really cool!
I'll get there

hehe, i turned on Slayer - Dead Skin Mask just before i opened this thread.. quite suiting that looks like a dead skin mask he's about to wear.
the design looks good.. perhaps a bit messy? i'm not an expert in that area ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Perhaps clean up the perspective, there are alot of errors in there that pokes the eye.
Weird design...I can't help to think that it's going to fall over. Perhaps it's just the angle?
Having said that, I like the amount of detail and would like to see what else your weird brain can churn out!

Thanks very much guys !!
Benji Schupp : The mask thing is a bit off maybe because it was supposed to look like it could slid onto the face using those little hydrolic thingies holding it up ..I think he has a looks complex .lol..the arm is deffinatly stiff but im not sure how to change it because it's so long he kinda has to hold it that way..maybe poor design choice
Blist: thanks..the hand is a bit much but he supposed to be oddly perportioned.
Lidless: thanks very much. I am a huge Starwars/ Doug Chaing fan and it's a huge compliment to even be mentioned in the same sentence as him... you made my day
Apollo: You right a but more line weight was need here and there..thanks!!
tyron : messy your right but live and learn..thanks!
Sukhoi : there are deffinatly some eyes sores especially in the prespective on some of the mechanical parts ..but I did this in about 2 hrs taking a very long lunch ..I need to take more time when I do this stuff..thanks man! |
