Hi Everybody,
just wanted to share with you my newest illustration. I'm trying out a new technique that combines pencil and Photoshop. Seems to work pretty well.
Let me know what you think.

WoW, that's really cool man!
I don't get the message of the picture, but the colors work together really good!
Pretty cool in my opinion... |

Appolo, you don't get the message: just open your eyes, on the world outside I mean, & look in the right direction. Not really hard to get.
I like the stylized look of your piece, very expressive. |

Cool. Thanks guys for your feedback.
Crazy in Alabama: Thanks for noticing what I did with the perspective. I basically flattened out the perspective so that there were no vanishing points which eliminated all the diagonal lines in the composition. This way the shape relationships became much more synonymous throughout the composition except fot the two characters.
It's nice to see that there's an audience here for the fine artsy stuff.
thanks guys,
Kamal |

Very nice combination of perspective styles. I like the angle of view for the street and sidewalk. The lighting reminds me of some of Rembrandt's etchings. This would translate very well to an intaglio print. |

I like this one a lot. It's one of the coolest things I've seen here in a while actually.
This has style and it has a message.
I've tried the pencil technique but it didn't really work out for me. But this looks really neat.
I also checked your site. I LOVE the illustration with the curved tree and the "stick figure" |

Wow cool! thanks for your feedback everybody. I'm glad it has a childrens book feel, since that's an industry I would like to tap into some day.
edraket, glad you liked that illustration with the tree. It's one of my favorites too. I think you're talking about the sepia colored one. It's one of my favorite Acrylic paintings I've done so far. The original is in full color but I decided that it looked better in sepia so I colorized it in Photoshop.
