It took me the whole day to do this. I frist wanted to do a cartoon, but my usual realistic style took over... I have no idea what to do with the background, I made a few line but maybe ill take them off.
Pure B&w is damn hard(so I introduced a few gray level), many times I felt like trowing away this peice, but I completed it.
C&C and suggestions will be apreciated.
Again, C&C Really wanted. I like B&W and want to improve at it. |

I'm not really the person to tell others how to do art, hell no I'm not, but I think you should make the face a lil bit smoother and the wood, or whatever he holds in his hands doesn't look right, b/c you can still see the outline of his hand through it.
Maybe it was thought to be transparent.
Well I like the fire and the way the picture comes out of the black background... |

Tnx for the comments. The "thing" that he may seen to be holding, was intended to be some sort of "magic flow" that creates the fireball.
Looks like I made it wrong...
I was currious to see if I could incorporate a little "smudgy" part in this drawing and what ppl would think about it.
But its exactly the part you say is wrong...
I'm not sure how to draw a transparent flow in b&W... Would it look better opaque?
Ill take a little pause(drawed all day) and then ill go make some expirement about that.

Yeah, I figured that it was a flow.
Well I think if you just shaded it darker on the inside of his hand and make the outline and shade of the hand a lil bit softer it would look right.
Anyway, I think the combination of the smooth energy/fire/magic thing ( ) he holds and the pretty rough rest of the picture is pretty interesting.
Makes you focus on his magic first...
Since you're combining different things I'd try to color the flames and that stuff and let it glow a lil bit, but leave the Rest black and white.
Think that'd be awsome... |

Cool picture, but I'm more inclined to think of it as a witch from a fairy tale rathe than a sorceress. Either way, it's far better than I could do. |

Bronson: Heh, I just needed a title... So I wrote "The Insane Sorcerer"
I tought I drawed a male, but if u say a "witch", well I can't argue. Its hard to tell the sex from such an evil face... ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |
