I am deeply influenced by Ashley Wood these days, though I won't pretend to be half as good as him. Here's one of five robot sketches I doodled. Please enjoy.

hey little bee, long time no see. picture looks phat, and i'd say your own personal flair shows up over the ash wood influences. have you got uno fanta? i'm thinking of getting it.

Cool stuff, little bee! Ashley Wood has a really cool style. But how about Ben Templesmith, though? His art rocks!

heh, I remember when that style was called "Bill Sienkiewicz style". Oh well, I guess no one in comics remembers quality anymore.

Hey, thanks, guys! I had these visions of total-off-rippage. This makes me much more confident following through on some other work.

EvilAsmo: Yeah, not sure about the logistics of robots or even of anything mechanical. I just like drawing stuff with goggles, heh heh.

Ken: Ooh, ooh! I haven't been able to visit his site for a while (bugger requires some modern form of IE), but as I understand he'll be getting Dos Fanta out soon -- I'm still just downloading and printing at Kinko's, heh heh! Better still will be getting some of his signed prints.

Highfive: You are my hero. Or, Templesmith is now. Thanks for the link!

Jesse-k: I'm at his site now -- lovely line work, and goddamn if toasters aren't the coolest thing in the world.

Bill Sienkiewicz is THE King! That's what it's supposed to mean!

this to me looks fairly half-assed. it isn't very difficult to draw a pretty, ambiguous figure and then randomly monochrome the background.

Cool sketch! I love Ashley Wood's stuff. Here's an over paint with a background to give the bot more 3dimensionality. I erased into the background to bring out the drawing.
