What does everyone here think of our
President?

He wants to drill all the oil.....
He isn't doing anything about prescription costs for the elderly.
And that was a major issue in the election..
Public education teacher standards....hell no
He's just going to other countries and making an ass of himself.....

I think that he is making a fool of the U.S.A
and we need to get rid of him now.

Just recently....the WTO brainwashed
Globalizing faction G-8 met in Italy.
And the same thing happened that went down in Seattle.
Protesting people got fucked up without reason.
Bush just sat there in the meeting and
made faces, what a asshole.

If you voted for Bush you are an asshole yerself.......word

actually it is predicted that bush will be attacked (assissanated) sometime in his term. Every president that was elected with a '0' at the end has been assassinated or attemped (reagon).

Oil? I don't know anyone personaly, on tv or else where, who has said they wanted Bush to
destroy national forest.

That whole "presidents elected in the 0 years" stuff comes from an old native american curse that was put on a president (i dont remember which) who really screwed with the N. Americans. So every 0 elected president has died, be it by pneumonia or gun shot wound. The only one since then who hasn't died was Reagan, who was only saved because he was literally like a block from a hospital, and now he's an involate. Lesson? Modern Technology > Indian Magic!

Don't need to say anything, we speak with our actions. Everyday an average 1 person uses 3 gallons of gas. We stop using it, then we'll stop drilling it. Don't know what USA u are from? No cars around your area? Omish folk?

Good, I'm glad you see it as that...we are doing something right then, keeping us safe from others fear. And we don't tell people, we suggest what is working for us. Something must be working, we got problems, sure, but not as bad as other countries do.

Simple as that. This country changes daily, you don't think we can change 1 commitees doings? That is why they are only in their for 4 years at a time.

That hurts...I never judged you on where you live, etc. You are pretty brainwashed yourself and judgmental on unrealavent information.

Not defending bush in everything he does, we give him a representitive from each of our states to speak for us, that is why they are there, if you don't agree with any of it, go out and do something about it. Talking/complaining about it in here isn't going to accomplish anything productive. I don't think Bush comes to this messageboard? does he? maybe he does

Here is a view of the States from someone outside the USA.

Bush is a trained monkey who someone is controlling. He knows nothing and has made a fool of himself.

Al Gore, don't know much about him but some people say that his name meant "The Blood man" and that he would be the 3rd anti christ, don't know about the truth behind this.

Bill Clinton. I think it's weird that you only allow a president of maximum of 8 years in the chair. Here back in good old cold Iceland we allow the president to be voted as long as the people want him. We had a female president for over 10 years and those were one of the best years in my country. Even though Bill Clinton made a few mistakes, like the infamous Monica Lewinsky case he was better than Al Gore and Bush.

Chris, you talk about super power. That it will keep other countries in check. Personally I think fear isn't a good attribute for a country but respect. USA hasn't done much to earn any respect so far they only impose what they want. Probably the only reason why you have been targets of threats and terrorism is because of fear. It tends to backfire.

Here in Iceland there is such a hard restriction on firearms and weapons. It's so strict that the police doesn't even carry firearms. Therefore crime isn't much of a problem here except drug related ones.(Everybody has one of those.)

In Europe we call USA, "The little children with the big weapons". This is not meant as an offence but a reflection of European mentality.

Personally I like the US, I've had some great friends there and you have many of the greatest game developers there. As long as it doesn't concern politics the US isn't bad, only unrefined. As soon as you sort out your problems, everything will be alright.

What's most difficult for the US is that it's basicly like one huge melting pot or a cauldron. Because you have allowed so many people into the country, it has swollen and gotten almost out of control. Although Iceland is only about 280.000 people we have to restrict immigration. People who want to come here have to get through a lot of paper work if they want to become legal citizen.

The reason for this is that we don't want to end like Norway and Denmark. They are having problems with immigrants.

Probably the worst part about immigrants is that they bring new customs and beliefs to the new country, conflicting with the preciding religion and customs. Of course it isn't bad in itself as it increases the flora of culture but sometimes the conflict becomes too much.

Generally, I dislike politics, but I couldn't resist putting in my 2 cents.
Also, drilling US's own oil is kind of a stupid idea because that important strategical reserve will be then empty come the time when OPEC boycotts them or something (I don't know how are things right now in that area).
Back at the time of the campaign, I bought Bush's way of behaviour in public and his foreign policy statement. I thought Gore was more of a marionette than Bush is.

But in the end they are all marionettes, I believe, since there must be some kind of a circle of fat bald old white rich men who are the true gods of the country. Vive le conspiracy theories!
