Hmm, I think that by saying I could win the gold medal for "stupid porn paintovers" you're diminishing my work. I'm not trying to upset people, I am also unappologetic about my work. Just for the record, I'm not looking for moral criticism just constructive criticism please, so if you have any feedback that might help me, I invite that.

well i like Giger's work (as do a lot of people here), but i don't see what your pic has to do with his work. now it is obvious that the woman is from a porn pic. it doesn't even look painted over to me really.

now if you want a constructive critique. i suggest that you should actually paint that yourself and don't just cut something out from some porn pic. i wouldn't even use porn for referance really. at least not directly. as for the rest of your painting. it seems quite flat. you need to work on that shading. adding some texture to the wall and what not would help a great deal. looks almost cel shaded... almost.

the composition and subject matter are both uninteresting. porn isn't really known for its quality in photography. i suggest you work on that as well.

now try it again. this time don't take us for fools. do something all on your own. even if you think it looks like shit. you might get more reply's and respect if you do so.

What do you want critiqued here? The girl seems to be pieced together from two explicit porn pics. The lighting is very different on them both. So there's nothing really to be critiqued there other than your composition skill, which I can say that your edges are too hard and unatural, compared to the background that is. Try softening them.

Your background has no obvious lighting scheme, no texture, your floor seems to be a vast abyss of space with some nebulas and no stars. Try a reflection or something. That is all.

ps - Heh, 'Nude', I think this falls in the 'Young Asian Girls Spreadingthemselves' (YAGS) genre.

This is the kind of stuff that sijuner's don't tolerate. If anyone else in the future wonders where that line is drawn, this is it.

1)Obvious paintovers like this will only be severely criticized.

2)the subject matter is inappropriate for a forum like this. There are erotic art forums where you can post your work--sijun isn't one of them.

I personally have no problem with photo-manipulations or erotic art, but I'm just telling you this is how sijun works.

I guess since you mentioned Giger, I can see where he would inspire you to do something like this. Howerever I think the woman looks totally out of place in this picture. If you look at Gigers work, notice how he blends the female anatomy to make it look like part of the metallic wall or whatever it is. I think you should at least do something to the woman to make her not stand out so much.

Hmmm. I just spent some time reading the entire thread posted by Ratbat. I personally didn�t find her drawing that interesting. However the flaming that followed was. It got me wondering, where exactly does the community on this forum draw the line. I mean there are some obvious sexual references in several of the posts here. So where is that line?

And than I see this... eh whatever. Obviously the moderators allow it and that says something as for where the line is drawn at sijun. My opinion, this picture is way beyond what I want to see and take part of att sijun. Just wanted to say that.

I really, really hope this type of work does not become the trend here. There are plenty of other places on the web for this kind of material. This isn't the first time sexually explicit work has appeared on Sijun, but this is probably the first time we're arguing it in as 'art'. This kind of anything-goes attitude is ruining this place.

However, if it is genuinely painted, then the quality is okay. Watch out for flat areas (especially the background) which seems a bit last minute.

But try not to post this kind of material here. Even in a moderate age, 20-somethings still find this kind of work offensive.
