OK, my first semi-nude post. I did this drawing while listening to co-worker's Kylie Minogue CD - he plays it like 100 times a day. Crits are welcome. Ed--

Sexxy! It's worth the risk of having a heart attack

Her hair has a semi trasparent membrane look that's quite cool, the face's very cute too. Nice job.

I really like the stylized figure the proportions, if its true they r not classical, they seem to work perfectly for this image!!! Good work!! are u gonna pay my medical expenses after this heart attack???

Nice job. I like her and previous ones you've posted ;-)

What about your co-worker - if you could get a headphones (like I did) that could solve your problem :-)

Quite nice!

Yeah, I know this girl is stylized. I've done realistic types but coming from animation realistic drawings don't pop off da page. You know, you gotta look at in terms of silhouette. Every part of body and edges have to look alike someone can animate and convey emotion. And how to short-cut the shapes since one is drawing 24 drawings per second. So, the mentality behind this drawing is economy in lines. Ed--

Is there any reason people use that blue pencil color in their sketches? I've noticed that alot lately.

Just curious.

great sketch, I think her shoulders may be a little broad though.

i think it gives it more of a draft look, like how blueprints are in that blue ink or whatever... that seems to make the most sense to me anyway =\

Great as usual ed...

Only one quick crit though... The rib cage really bugs me... the right (front side) is fine, but I think there should be a little more to the left (or her back.) You can still keep your simplicity of lines, or whatever you animators like to call it.. just draw a quick oval starting up at her neck down to her belly button. This should give you a quick outline of the rib-cage... maybe I'll post a quick paint over in a little while to better explain myself..

10 points for style though... dynamic and fluid. Very nice.

Here you go...
This might explain itself better...

I actually may have made the oval a little too big, but I think it get's my point across... ?

Thanks for the construction lesson. Remember this is stylized chick. So, her anatomy is stylized as well. Your construction maybe the way to go, but I went through that already myself but it takes the leaness away doesn't it? And kinda makes it boring. I arched her spine slighty giving a taut feel, conveying a feeling of readiness. I had to take some license and torgue her torso, for me it's the feel not correctness. Prb doesn't make sense to most people but it's an experiment. (I've revised some areas, guyz are getting annoyed with her tuff looking shoulders, but that was the idea) Ed--

Actually, I like your re-draw alot. It completely fixes any problems I had with the rib cage and yet she still looks very dynamic and thin (something the paint over didn't accomplish.) very nice. The triangular/oval shape (gee, what would you call it?) is something I've never considered using with the rib cage. I like it alot.
Please keep posting these, it's the only work that has given me any inspiration lately...
