His head looks a little small compared to rest of the body and looking at the ref. His right hand looks HUGE, so much so that if this were a 6th grade classroom he would have cancer...(if you hand is bigger than your face you have cancer) bah anyway maybe it was just my 6th grade that did it heheh.

afex... don't know about the cancer, but I agreed with you that the hand was larger than it should be. I've reduced its size. The head is proportionally correct. He is a tall man, over six feet.

Bang... you bang...

Good stuff. I have a question, when you start these do you trace the photos and then paint over the top?

very well done. this guy being italian alone makes this a good painting, but once i read some other posts and pulled my jaw up, i did notice some proportional issues... then again, maybe not. i'm really in no position to critique things of that detail that are above my own skill level in my opinion.

roundey... yep, those reflections are close to the photo reference I used. I added it to the original photo reference I posted. Have a look at the revised post.

Jucas... I make a simple line tracing for the intial layout. From that point on I eyeball the reference phot for all digital painting. There is no photogtaphic material or overpainting in the picture.

finazzo... There was a proportional problem with his hand on the original post... It was too large. I corrected that. Is that what you were referring to, the large hand? It pretty much threw the rest of the character off, making his head look to small - oddly enough. But he is a tall man, well over 6 feet. I think that comes across in the picture.

Hmmz.. I really dont think that the reflections in those windows fit in very well.
They sort of look like paintings on note paper(no reflections.. just bright colors)..
like if they where thrown right in or sumfin
But what do I know?
never even posted a pic.. and Ive been around since.. well I dont know

*edit* I suck too
