Hiya everyone! I thought I'd show everyone 3 more of my sculptures. A Werewolf, a Dragon and Frankensteins monster.

I'm making 3 threads so be sure to look at the other threads. This thread features my 'Werewolf' sculpture I call Lycanthropy. I actually reproduced this sculpt in resin and in these pics you can see the actual sculpture and the painted resin casting.

I hope you dig it.

Thanks people

Ulic Qel-Droma - This wolf sold for $135.00 a peice when I was selling him. Thats unpainted and unbuilt. He was a model, people built it and painted it.

aColdOldKodiak - Well, I've got all kinds of creepy creatures around here, mostly McFarlane toys You get used to it.

Looks pretty cool.....

How long did it take to complete?

I would like to see some of the sketches that you may have done for the design of the figure.

okay, this is a breathtaking sculpture. but there is something I must say. both wolves and human males have penises. how does a mixture of the two manage to have none? if this is a female, both wolves and human women have breasts. where are the breasts? where are the penises? people, genitals are not to be feared.

Personally I wouldn't want to see any nuts on it. Honestly do you want a thing like that grabbing you and shoving it's nuts in your face? I thought not. If it's a female the least she could do would be shave her legs. Damn!

Hey there...yeah, this sculpture is awesome...you never fail to amaze me. Quick question...I realize that since your sculptures are all relatively large, you use a wire frame attached to a piece of wood or something, I was wondering if you could elaborate on how you attach the wire to the wood and how you actually use the wire to shape the skeleton of the figure, i.e. do you use one solid piece of pretty low gauge wire and bend it...or do you use several pieces and bend them together somehow...thanks!

Re: the privates - This is a politically correct werewolf

Golongria - I use to have pictures online of an early sculpt that showed the progression from armature to finished sculpt but they are no longer online. Here is a great website you can check out that explains the basic technique I use. You can also learn alot of sculpting techniques on there. Here is the link.... http://home.houston.rr.com/dpstudios/workshoppages/sculpting.htm

That should help you out.
