Since pretty much everything I've done lately is NDA...
Some sketches from lunch hour the other day at work.

I love pen and marker stuff. This is no exception. And the subject matter is really cool.
And to think some of us spend our lunch hour eating.

Awesome stuff.
I wish I could come up with character concepts like that.
Great work, especially on that bottom one.

I would like to quote EPMD here:
"Fresh, like a million bucks."
Or is that Slick Rick? You get the message...
And yeah, some hints on how you work would be welcome. |

Thanks for the comments. Ed, this was probably 1.5 to 2 hours worth of work. It was done the Friday right after we shipped out our milestone, so I was sort of taking a break.
As for details on how this was done etc., it's just pigment liner and Tria markers on regular copy paper. I go through too much paper to use anything really nice, plus it fits in my 8.5x11 scanner with no problems. I was using a sketchbook for a while, but the binding always made the drawings scan in wonky.
I don't think I'm really an authority on marker technique - Feng, Spinefinger and a couple of other people are probably better sources for tutorials.
Thanks again, will try to post more stuff sometime. |
