Hello Sijuners =]
My apologies for not having posted here in such a long time, but I’ve been busy. You know how it is ;]

Aaanyway... I come bearing gifts =) The first one, I finished today. It is a picture of Heleane Mi Salain... beautiful, but ice cold, queen... scene taking place about four minutes after she murdered her father.

There are some perspective issues going on with the chair and the cage, that I haven't been able to fix because that's my weakest point... feel free to help me out =)

The second one was, ah, not so seriously intended ;] It was drawn partly for the people who had been sending me hatemails and trying to force me into stop drawing feminine men. I guess you can say I have a weird sense of humour. (I know his anatomy is somewhat screwed up, especially the arms - much too slender - I just haven’t had the time nor inclination to fix them yet ;] )

This text was attached to this image... it’s not aimed at you - unless you’re one of the hatemailers ;D - but I thought some people might like to read it anyway =)

"This picture is a gift for my supporters and anti-supporters. The pretty boys will never stop.

Use this picture in any way you want, as long as it's not commercial, and as long as you do not change it. Use it for roleplay, use it on your website, print it on your wall, or just use it as your desktop paper - it's my gift for you. Just remember to link back to me if it's online. And for those anti-supporters among you, feel free to print it on toilet paper and use it like /that/ if you want to. Just stop sending the results of those efforts to me.

Love you all, bests,
L."

Hugs and stuff...

Wow. I rarely see you do full scenes with backgrounds like that. It practically glows. Wonderful stuff.

Wow, these are wonderful - i think the second one is great, i love art with a purpouse, this'll probably rid you of all your mail-problems (not).

I think there would probably be a lot more blood on the first picture, especially on the blade, sleeves, dress, walls, chair, cat, bird etc. It's not like you can just cut someone's head off and wipe it up with a kleenex afterwards...no, it's messy work i tell you...very messy (i haven't tried BTW).

The reason why i said so is that it looked, firstly, like she had cut herself in the forehead...only later did i see the man's head on the floor.

The shadow on the wall looks odd to me. I'm not sure why...

What is that on the floor, behind her?

Can't say I read the other replies, so forgive me if I repeat anyone.

I like the first one, but I think it has some major composition problems. The bottem has way to much weight. Its still very nice, but you might want to work on that. I'd almost say totally get rid of the dead head :P (of course then the picture might loose some attachment to the story). You already mentioned the perspective/anatomy problems .

In my opinion the second is better. Looks like a Brom painting in your style.

Oh, I couldn't resist. Her hair is so silky it makes me want to reach out and touch it.

If this offends, just say the word and I'll erase it.

I don't really care for the first one very much. It's kind of flat in my opinion.
The second one however, is awesome. Great work.

Hi Enayla.

You've done an excellent job rendering the scene and figures. I also like the color choices you've made. The only thing which makes me wonder is the lack of rhytm in most of your compositions, which gives the picture a sort of static feeling. Maybe it's intended?

Hello,
Great Work as always...
I cannot understand how people can criticise work of art and imagination by using hatemails. Nothing against constructive criticism but that goes too far. Even if people do not like what you do they do not have to llok at it, do they?

Keep the good work up

I love that the first pic has such an involved narrative attached to it. You definitely could have presented it without telling the story and it would be just as interesting. I agree with the folks who have said that the composition isn't as strong as the second pic. That second one is tremendous. Look at those wings! Craziness. Hell, I'd hit on him if I didn't think he might poison me or something.

Give us a detail image of those wings, please. Or even a bigger version.

Thanks. Keep it up.

Thanks everyone =D I am going to fix the composition on the first one. I've just received great help back at my own forums and I think I've figured out what was wrong.

You know how it is when you can't figure out ANYTHING to change, and yet you KNOW something is seriously messed up, right?

Well... I'm hoping I'll fix it now.

Bigger version of the Devil May Care image =)

The picture was Brom inspired, indeed (and not from japanese rock, like some people elswewhere suggested)... and I'm considering making it available for print as soon as I figure out a good way to charge money from waaaay over here in Sweden =(

(Edit) Dave, I forgot to say - it's quite all right, and I'm very flattered =D thank you!
