I made some changes after I got a crit from a friend of mine here. Unfortunately I couldn't fix everything because the pieces were too far along but hey, there's always next time. Anyway, I've got 2 versions of the knight and I want to know if you prefer the dark shadow (creates a powerful and interesting shape in the composition) or the one with the lighter shadow (brings the knight forward, good since he's the focus). Let me know before Wednesday night cuz they're due Thursday morning.

thanks/hethe

Looking better with the additions you made. Not that they were bad in the first place. Very interesting character design.

Your first image "Lobster Man" is wonderful! Very nice character design. I would love to see this character head on as well. Nice detail and clear lines.

I like your style a lot, Hethe, your site really is one of my favourites. I like the knight with the darker shadow better.
And look what I sketched three or four days ago... an amazing coincidence because it is so similar to your nobleman. Same type of pauldrons, mutton-chops. I guess it's him, only older. And he lost the goatee.

lol. Ya Jome. That is weird. Ouch, he doesn't age well
So, why do you like the dark one since you were the only one who voted for it and I myself am kind of leaning towards the light one...

I think it corresponds to the black and sharp outline. The lighter shadows is less black than some of the details in the figure, and too bland, in my opinion.

Monkey! Hey dude. How have YOU been? I've been really busy lately creating final pieces for my graduating portfolio. I've posted a couple of quickies in the speed thread but other than that nothing until this. I'll update it tonight with the final character. This turned out to be a weird project but really satisfying. I learned a completely new approach. Anyway talk to you later!

I prefer the light because the dark shadow seems to draw too much attention.
