done in PS..
custom brush testing.
I wrecked my scanner a while ago.. Got a new one yesterday. Tested it by scanning this pecilsketch.
It's made from the cover of heat.
I'm not to happy with Pacinos face, but the rest is ok I guess.

comment:
this style (must be because of the custom brushes) is somehow different than the "casual" style i've seen in your previous works. it's great, i like it a lot.
the textures... *thumbs up* yes sir, i mean it! \m/

Great stuff dixter, I love all the works you've posted here and on your website. Out of these ones I like the pencil sketch the best. |

Wicked! DiXter, I love the textured look to the PS stuff. Quite apart from the (obvious) fact that you can seriously draw.
OK, so you were "testing custom brushes". Well, it worked a treat - now do you want to share the technique with the rest of us? Please?? Maybe even post your brush file???I'm just starting to muck around with stuff like custom brushes, but don't yet have much of an understanding of their capabilities ... and I'd love to be able to get effects like yours here.

Morbid: thanks man!
Jason: appreciate it! (sp?)
Pixhorthit:
A: Thanks man. Do you have a scanner?? If thats the case.. take a white paper splatter it with coffe or ink, scan the spots and splatter, and define as brushes.
I think you can get some cool brushes that way..
Bilbo: Thanks... You know, I've heard that from a few people now. so I guess I have to start belive it soon

I love the second one, color, texture, brush work, it's just totally awesome.
Heat's one of my favorite flicks too.
Take it easy,
M
