The latest chapter in my ongoing struggle with Photoshop hair. I don't hate the result, but I'm not that fond of it either.
Yes, the background is a blurred-up Bryce render. I still have no luck doing lanscapes by hand.

all of the shapes are really nice .. and the image as a whole is pretty cool, but have you thought about adding outlines? or even darkening some of the edges in a more natural way. i think it would add a lot. as for the hair, try to seperate the clumps by adding slight outlines, which exist as shadows in any reference you look at. try to show which peices are overlapping and which are falling under. try fading out the ends of the strands becuase the hair clumps are much thinner and less conjested at the tips. hope i helped. |

Thanks for the suggestions! Here's my attempt at revision. Still, not perfect, but I think it looks a lot better now.
