Ok. Below is a dainty elven lass I have made for my webpage. The B&W I am fairly happy with but my god my color version sucks.
Looking for C&C of course but I really wanna see what you guys can do with this lady. I mean come on, she's got a nice ass, you know you wanna color her. The high res version is linked at the bottom.

Nice pic, I like the character... good armor 2.
May I do some comments?
-She is supposed to be against a wall or something but the shadows are wrong because they give the impression that, specially her hand, is not touching the wall.
-If she is against a wall her hair wouldnt be flying freely, it would be a little compressed with the wall plane, unless of course its a corner but then her right feet would be flying beyond the edge of the corner
-The same thing with her left feet, it seems to be floating instead of being standing in the floor.
I really like it, keep on going! |

Yeah I know, the whole hair thing is completely wrong but I just loved how the lines came out and couldnt help myself. The hands and the leg against the wall are also incorrect in that they both wouldnt be touching the same plane.
The colors are what happens when I only spend 30 minutes at 3 in the morning with minimal caffeine.
Thanks for the compliment though. |

i do like the colors, except the green background.., why don't u try drawing a background, it really helps to set the mood for the image. |

I have to agree about the green BG...it's a bit "bright", and to me she seams sorta moody....deep in tought almost.. and I think the colour scheme should reflect this...
Granted your web page might have that green as a background, but most people wont look around the site for long with that type of BG hehehe, maybe think about more pastel shades ?.
Here's a quick colour work up I've done...moody .

Thanks Gil..she took maybe 15 to 20 mins...lot's of cheats hehe..overlays and such, some photo manipulation in the background angain as an overlay. And appart from that just some real gentle airbrush (under the BW image, BW image set to Multiply).

Ahhh...nice start .
I'd possably sugest a darker ( not much ) background underpaint...I find it helps define form better using a darker background color to paint on .
