Hi guys!

Would like to show you the new artwork made by Timur Mutsaev. It's a poster for the action game based on H.G.Wells classic novel "Island of Dr. Moreau". Beat the hell out of it! Thanks.

Awesome...always a treat to see things by Timur. Was this done in digitally painted or 3d or what? Do you have anything else to show?

BTW, for everyone else who's perhaps not familiar with Timur, check out his drawings at http://www.ramartworks.com

First of all, everything on the pic is Wacom'ed. Of course, references were used for the city/panther/guy. But no photos incorporated. The main goal was THE idea. If you've read Well's novel, you know what I'm talking about. Also, here's a character scetch (BIG!!!). Thnks.

Well that does it. I officially have an inferiority complex now. Damn you talented people. Damn you!

The poster is beautifully done and has an interesting war/cool split down the middle, but the chracter sketch really impresses me.

The Character portrait is amazing. I love tiny little details that are worked up on the lion: buletts, buckles, hair ect. The wacom shading on it almost looks like it was done with a real pencil. I also like the blur in focus from the main lion to the back ground. God damn cool.

It's great to see some new Timur art finally!

The title image is great, but I die for that pencil sketch. Brilliant.

When are you guys going to update your site with new stuff?

Row.

really really really big WOW...

tutorial! tutorial! tutorial!

I have one minor crit though... on the human face, he looks like he has a bony bump where his forehead meets the eyebrow/nose instead of a muscle ontop of the skull...

the only thing that caught my eye...

other then that I'm awestruck!!

Been looking forward to seeing more of Timurs work, quite a fan.

Think the top one is pretty cool. It's done well, tho the style looks too photmontagey for my tastes, prefer more artwork looking paintings..

The second tho, totally class! really love that style. Is it a pencil sketch worked in Painter?

Oh Yes! It's always nice to see Timur's stuff! I just love his style. He's definatly one of my fav artists.
Well, I have some crits, tho. First of all the poster might look a little cleaner. It looks like layers hasn't been used too efficiently. Secondly there is that black spot in the sunset side which is just too dark (value problem). But anyway: Fabulous stuff! =)

that sketch looks eXtr4 1337!!1 regarding the cover pic: well, wouldn't it be easier to take some photos and photoshop the whole deal in like 10 minutes? It would look even better that way. Don't get me wrong, it looks fine anyways. Escpecially the face of that guy - does look more like a photo with filters run over it than painted. Very sw337 overall.
