That looks pretty damn tight to me - i always love these 'inner workings laid open' type of image (is there a technical name for them?) - really good to see the full range of tones that graphite can produce - what size did this get worked on? - any chance of some close-ups? - what paper did you use?

The original piece is 15" x 14", done on
regular Strathmore paper.
Here are two details, one from the left side
and one from the right.

but why did you do it in the first place ?
Why draw an engine in great detail ?
commisioned work ?

I dont know engines ...
is that a car engine ? what type ?

cool, the way you've shaded it makes it kinda abstract, especially in the detail shots, like Escher or something

Andromeda, the engine was a summer project l wanted to do.
I wanted to create the most detailed, complicated metal object l could think of.
Basically l did it for the challenge
If anyone knows of a more complicated metal object, let me know... l love the challenge.
