Yep. Animal rights activists. A situation clean enough for the evening news ..

I don't feel it's finished quite yet - comments, suggestions, overpaints ?

hehe... laughed out loud!
I like the rendering style...very crisp, clean. cartoony. and the pigs for law officers!!!

only thing that bothers my eye is the police pigs' ear overlapping a demonstrator pig's face. looks weird...(?)

Reminds me of a ChickFillet ad... The banner is kind of hanging funny-- It should be drooping int the middle if there is that much slack...

very clever idea and well painted! i agree that the background looks a little sparse and unfinished right now. other than that, it's great.

You've got the protesters, you've got the cops, but you're missing the supporters and the random people standing in the grass watching as this protest march goes by.

That's why the background seems a little lacking. You've got a lot of people marching and nobody watching.

If I were a farm animal I wouldnt stop to watch.. I'd start protesting too..

If I were a meat processing animal killer then I'd be eating..

so.. maybe little animal kids can be watching..

The pic is great, but the say no to dairy thing, if you don't milk a cow the udders get full of milk and well... they explode.

Duckman... that's what the baby cows are for. *giggles*

Klaivu - You're style rocks. I love it. Color scheme is always smooth and your subject matter is always slightly disturbing.

It's so good to see your art back on Sijun, klaivu. This picture has so much character in it! Especially dig that calf with the nose-ring. I bet those pigs will be chowing down on a roast ham when they get home, huh?

Agree with the crits about more buildings in the background, but apart from that I'd say it's sorted.

Klaivu- I love your work but I must say that this is neither as dark or ironic as some of your other pieces (either that or the humor is over my head)

(thought: Your style reminds me of vaugely of political propaganda, which kind of reminds me of animal farm, which this picture sort of resembles.)

(thought: My dad is a cop yet depicting them as pigs has never offended me.)

(thought: Why don't the pigs protest too?)

Crits duly noted : I'll do something about the background and consider adding more people and *stuff* .. thanks for the enormously positive feedback

Seems that not everybody 'read' this image the way I meant it .. nah, I won't try explaining what I thought - It'd just come across as shallow ..

Palladia : ( I'll do something about the ear .. )
St. Senega : You're right ..
Pat : Nope. I refuse to eat vegans for ethical reasons though.
Vesuvius : Oh - I must be getting rid of my teenage angst ..
jr : The cops are pigs because .. erm. ehh.
rustriva : But there are pigs among the demonstrators too ..

hehe, i love it!
but the composition could be better:
the top half of the picture is pretty empty, and everything else (the action) is in the lower half.
