Howdy

I did this guy for a game that we are makeing at my school. Its supposed to be a bear spirit. The art direction is based on American Indians/fantasy world. I'm aiming to recreate him in 3d at 1000 polys. Oh and some day I'll learn how to do light sources

Looks pretty good so far. His legs and lower half look good, but his torso is a little large, almost like it's too big to be held up by his legs. It's only a minor thing so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Good luck with the 3d model and the game!

Hey Sean.

This is a good concept, and I think it will make a fine game model. I'll look forward to seeing it.

As far as the drawing goes, however: The coloring is quite flat-looks like textures actually. Lack of any real shadows, etc.

Remember to check your proportions before throwing in all the detail. Note the length of his right leg against the left. His left arm is also much thicker than his right at the forearm.

Just things to keep in mind if you're planning to go further with the drawing. If not, let's see the model when it's done

Thanks very much for the comments, and I do see now that proportions are very off, which I should have payed more attention to. I'll make sure to do that when I do my orthographic views of him. Yes lighting is lacking like I said earlier. But I'm finding out that I like to texture my colored pieces. So that much was intentional. Thanks again for the comments

He looks cool but when you make him in 3d don't make him in only 1000 polys. Its seems a little too cheap for games today. Use between 2000 and 5000 polys depending on how many you would want on screen at the same time.

I'm hoping I can go higher then 1000 but thats the limit the programer gave us. I think I'll make a high poly version for myself
