Hi, everyone, long time lurker first time poster.
This is the cover of a comic that will be published in June by Funk-O-Tron. The book is called Double Take #3: Legend of Stone Monkey, a one shot story written and penciled by me. The story is based on a Chinese classic mythical novel.
Please comment and critique my cover. thanks.

hey, nice stuff. I love your pencil work from penciljack.com! About time you joined. You should tweak the fire from the dragon, maybe make it a little more pervasive and orange. It looks a little unrefined as compared with the rest of the picture.

Andromeda> Yes! that's him! I am glad there are people knows about the story
MoleculeMan> thanks for the critique, I'll see if I can tweak some more before they go to the press. I actually joined a while back, just never had anything worthy to show the incredible talents here.
Thank you everyone for you comment. hopefully the book will do well. |

Hey, I have a classical one-shot version lying around here some where. Black and white, the story's called "Monkey subdues the White Bone demon". Typical example of oriental composition.
You updated it nicely, paying attention to those curled clouds that are so recognizable. And the clothing... excellent.
I'd love to see the whole comic.
The only comment on this, but I guess this is judging a horse by its mouth, is the lack of landscape. Something that gave the book I have over here so much atmosphere.
Nice! |

Really nice. So clean and so illustrative... it really gets the message across in a dynamic way. clean rendering and nice colours, fair bit of detail in there too. Good job! The comic looks like it will be great. We would love to see more, so feel free to use us for critiques etc!
Welcome to the forum. |

I'd been meaning to say something really positive about this image. Thankfully, I'm getting around to it finally.
I just love the composition and while I'd never use the colors you chose, you pull them off great. Outstanding control!

Dragonball is based on Dragon Power for NES, I think. The name is similar and the characters are the same. |

Hey Finn.
Thanks everyone, I am glad that I got such a positive response.
..and yes, original Dragonball were based on the same original novel that I am basing my story on. |
