heres ma story... I went on a roadtrip the other day with a couple mates...anyway..it started raining and we had parked at a very nice location..the sheet lightning light up the whole valley which made for a verry nice picture, anyway..this was our third day on the road and my digi cam was almost outta battery...i had to rush to setup for the shot..but to no success...the battery died on me....so i stared at the light up valley 1/100 of a sec at a time trying to get all the light and gradients etc down on paper...but thing is ive got a very bad short term memory...soo...this is what i had come up with...its pretty ghey...ive lost alot of the feeling in it and lost the sense of vastness...but i will share with you people anyway...c&c anyone??...paintovers are most appreciated...

hey nathan, looks pretty sweet, it has a lot of mood and atmosphere. I hate it when a really cool landscape is there and you think "that would make a really cool image" but you don't have a camera (or battery).
Where abouts did you go on a road trip to?
My only crit would be that the image seems kinda dark. If it was at day time wouldn't it be lighter? |

I have a problem with the lightning. It looks out of place. Could you make it look more natural?
I don't have much experance with landscapes to comment much futher. But I think you can work on it some more. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
