this isn't your normal every day demon... he's a lot scarier looking. lol.
when i was a kid, about 8-10 i think, i used to see and hear demons. I thought it was commen... my mom thought it was just a little thing i was imagining, and she came up and slept in my room... well, she heard what i was talking about (this loud flapping of wings that was outside my window, it just stayed in place) and she had a bible with her and said something along the lines of "in jesus' name i command you to leave" and i never had a problem with it again....
but that time i saw it... that was the scariest moment of my life... if you want me to go into detail about that then just ask... it's freaky though.
lol, sorry to get off topic.
you might want to define his right (our left) eye more... but that's up to you, you probably wanted to keep it in the dark. and maybe define his teeth some more, just so they look sharp and even more EEVVVIILLLLL! |

albino balrog. lol. i find it weird to hear the word Balrog used as a fantasy creature... when i thought of Balrog I always thought of that Street Fighter character.
but yeah, about the demon encounter. i wanted to type all of it, but i didn't know if it'd bore you, so i thought i'd ask if you wanted to hear all of it... so, here goes:
this wasn't a nightly occurance or anything, but it didn't happen just once. i'd say, once every week or once every other week.
typically, i'd hear something flapping outside my window. i know i never looked out to see what it was, cuz i was always hiding under the covers. i'd cover myself completely up, and make a little hole for my nose to breathe out of... i was scared to see what i was hearing. this wasn't just a bird or something, it just stayed out my window, and i'd have to go to sleep hearing this loud annoying flapping, yet the next morning no one in the house heard it...
i remember another time hearing loud clashes outside my window. keep in mind, i live in the country, so it's not like i have a ton of neighbors... and anyways, it was LOUD. it sounded like metal hitting eachother. of course, i didn't look out at it, i was afraid of there being demons or aliens, something along those lines. I just went to sleep under the covers, ignoring the sound...
but, the one thing i remember the most distinctly was the one time i actually saw the demons.
I woke up in the middle of the night, and looked above me. You know those wooden things up by the head of your bed... the umm... forget the name, but i'm sure you know what i'm talking about. Anyways, I looked up at it, and there was this picture of a demon standing in front of a tree. To be honest the picture wasn't very scary, other than the fact there was a demon in it... i was content at this time. Well, anyways, it looked like a "light picture" like someone was shining it in from outside my window in an attempt to scare me (I remember running my hand over it, to see if it was an actual picture taped there, if you know what i mean). So, I tried to see where the light was coming from (the "picture" was only a few inches by a few inches... like a picture you'd get printed out from your camera). I put my hand on one side of the picture. nothig happened, picture was still there unaffected. put my other hand on the other side, nothing happened, still there. put my hand on top, nothing happened, still there. Bottom, nothing, still there. So, i cupped my hands, and put it on the picture and tried to stop the light coming in from any direction and I put my eye to the part that was open. The picture was still totally there. I jumped up and was extremely scared, and I ran downstairs. On my way down the steps there were more pictures all over the walls of hallways/steps; these ones were effected by me, so they were true "light pictures" i suppose. Although I remember them being almost the whole way up and down the steps, the one i remember most was a big one on the left wall at the bottom of the steps, which looked very scary, even though I only saw it for about the 2 seconds it took me to run by it.
After that I ran into my moms room and told her about all of it, and she just let me sleep downstairs. Now, I had been complaining about the flapping noises for awhile, but this was the first time i actually SAW anything...
so the next night (or soon after...) she went upstairs and slept in my room with me. Although I wasn't awake for this, she told me about it... in fact, she still says this happened to this day, as we were talking about this a few weeks ago. Well, anyways, she was woken up in the middle of the night by the loud flapping noise, and she said something along the lines of "in jesus' name i command you to go away" and it went away.
i don't remember ever hearing it after that.
although, a few years later (i'm almost positive i was 12 or 13 when this happened.) i was home alone at night, and i went outside to play around... i remember i was "pretend fighting" outside. Well, I remember turning around to do a kick or something, and up in the sky, less than 100 feet (it was going right over the trees in my back yard) was a UFO, traveling slowly over the trees in my back yard... it had red and white lights, i believe... i remember the red lights the most. I didn't look at it for very long before i ran back inside my house. I went upstairs and got covered in blankets, waiting for my parents to get home, thinking some aliens were watching me or something. That was also scary... although, looking back on things... i'd say the demons were scarier, especially since i had a longer look at them and i was visited by them a lot more... the UFO incident only lasted for a few seconds of actual sight.
i wasn't the only one to see UFO's, though. In fact, if anyone lives around pittsburgh, they might have seen the UFO's on KDKA awhile ago... if you remember the story about a bunch of people seeing and videotaping (the tape was shown on KDKA) some "UFO's" during Knoch High School's light up night. They were dismissed as being blimps though. I'm sure there have been many other UFO sightings, not just here, but anywhere in the world... wether they're real or not, who knows. |

well. i'm not getting to sleep easy tonight. i don't think i've read/watched anything that freaky since the sixth sense (gee, how did you find that, liser?)
and the demon looks looks pretty cool, nulltygre, reminds me of an ashley wood drawing of the clown from spawn. somehow a creature that's all white is scarier than all black - like they don't need the shadows to hide in, or because it's closer to human flesh. i'm guessing you left most of the picture undefined apart from the eye for effect, but i think it could look really cool finished off.

hey
i think i found a report of the one i saw, back when i was about 13.
http://www.westol.com/~paufo/sightings.html#Anchor-UFO-49575 do that edit> find> thing, and type in butler
there's a story about a farmer who saw a UFO flying just over the trees. although this happened when i was 14. and i saw a lot of red, although i saw the underside of it, he saw it from 200-400 meters away.
my next door neighbor also claims to have seen a UFO before quite up close. She's dead now, she was quite old (she'd probably be in her late 70's, early 80's, now) She says she woke up in the middle of the night, and went downstairs. When she looked out the window there was a UFO outside of it, with a large pole pointing in at her through the window.
i didn't hear that from her, my brother told me she said that. He probably made it up as a response to my UFO and demonic sightings. |

Cool demon. I'd like to see a little more contrast here and there though, just so the eye doesn't stick out quite that much. Neat idea, but between the looser brush strokes on the edges (which cause a cool focus effect) and the lack of edge contrast, I'd like to see the transition a little more gradual. Maybe I'm to causual a viewer, but at first the image looked like a profile piece. After staring at it for a second I realized it was closer to a 3/4.

I agree with Pat, there is too sudden change from focused and clear to blurry. Otherwise neat horror stuff.
Liser Studios: It's always inspiring to read such spooky stories, have you ever tried to draw the pictures you saw? I think you should ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

i've thought about it recently, actually. the reason i've been talkin about it is because recently my brother and one of his friends were talking about demons, if you can see them,...etc. and my mom brought up to them that I saw them quite a bit, and they were asking me about them. So yeah, that's why i've been talking about my experiences so much the last few days.
here's the ideas i have for it:
I was thinking of a kid in his bed, looking up at the head of his bed (is that what it's called?) with the picture there. But, I'd have to make it larger so it would be able to be seen better... and I'd make it a light source.
I'd also add some transparent demons, like they're there but the kid can't see them, and the "light pictures" i saw in the hall, i'd put them in my room on the walls...
or i could do the same thing, but have the bed by the door/hallways. And the kid could be looking at the light picture, and all down the hall you can see the "light pictures"
but, i'm not sure if i'm skilled enough to do this yet.. multiple weak light sources, transparent demons, and all the shtuff like that... that'd be HARD... i think i'll try it out
i hope i wouldn't freak too many people out when they see this picture that says "a childhood experience"
:\

that would indeed be cool liser.
the wacom pen's pressure sensing went haywire. max pressure all the time. i tried every trick in the book, like moving it away from the monitor, checking the driver status, thumping, chewing, etc. |
