This pic started out as a pencil sketch, a scan, then a painter watercolor, then I fixed the lines with painter's pencil tool. Then tweaked it a bit in photoshop. This could be out of place amongst all the realism art pieces on this forum but maybe there's a stray Anime fan amongst the crowd.

I have noticed A LOT of Anime on this board, so I don't think you picture is out of place at all. It's very nice too by the way. I look forward to seeing more of it.

i hope this forum doesn't get overflown with a bunch of 14 year old anime fan boys, posting up their copied pictures of Dragonballz, their "elf girls with huge guns", or their "bishy" pics.

btw, i'm not saying you yourself are a 14 year old fan boy, i'm just saying, there has been some of that on here. you are pretty durn good, and i see you draw things other than cute anime girls, or "bishy" guys, all the time... which is good clean fun.
i left those anime message boards for stuff that had a lot of western art. how many are there?! yet i can find no realist, fantasy realist, or american/western art board ANYWHERE... but yeah, i left those looking for a place like this, i hope it doesn't just become another totally anime message board where (read description above)

I know exactly what your saying about the anime thing

- i get a very little feedback on my stuff ( not because its bad - for all the smart people whom may want to slant me ) but because its hard to crit something like manga / anime, as in realistic stuff we all know what that particular thing looks like in real life so its then easy to make a crit. All that aside i like this allot - lets see more.

I have a mobile suit that I wanna biped, but I've never worked with biped before. argh...using max 3 with CS.

Liser - NO. I totally know what you mean. I'm tired of all these stupid ass fucking boards with fan boys and girls googiling and "glomping" over this really shitty technically inferior pics. Totally oblivious to basics such as lighting, shape, anatomy and color. Incredibly bland pics which don't deserve the attention they do. Perhaps? What angers me are the comments they receive; nothing constructive, and when you critique it everybody lashes at you 'cause they all worship/suck up to the artist.

ToasT - I know it's difficult for everybody to crit Anime. Though, it looks like everybody here is unfamilar with Anime that's actually satisfactory; I admit it, I think my stuff is alright.

Sue and me both hope to introduce Sijun.com to a different anime style. We're trying to work on a realistic/anime hybrid rather than faces with just flat panels and big eyes. No bishy, yaoi, shoujo shit here.

I think its really nice...the eyes might be *slightly* wonky though *squints* only by a little bit. I love the colour tones *_*

Eh. I second that. I'm really into the Japanese culture and language (as a matter of fact, I'm moving to Osaka this summer for a year! Can't wait!). I only like about 10% of anime and manga, but the ones that are good, are usually REALLY good (Furi Kuri). Problem is, whenever I tell anyone I'm going to Japan, they instantly assume that the I'm going there to stock up on Pokemon crap. It's a real turn-off having all these 12-year-old greasy, unshowered, fanboy/girls giving it a bad rap. I hate fads...
