I made this poster for A-Kon 13...it's a little competition for the 11x17. Anyways i really liked this one so I thought I would share. I made it last night and made some changes this morning and am fairly conifdent about this rev of the poster so.

I think it looks real stylish. Best con poster A-kon ever had. And I should know, I've been to every A-kon ever.

So this is my second attempt at it...lighter, brighter and I'm tired as hell.

yeah those are hoverboards. I wanted to make the poster wide so I had room to do something but...had to go tall and I was really tired. So I tried to do some blurring like the wavy stuff but the more I look at it the more I want to take it out. Any other crits? Only thing is the PSD freakin kills cause it's for print so. I really only want to make one set of changes. Maybe addd some fire to the boards and drop out the bg image thingy. I don't know. |

The background is realy beautiful, I found myself looking at that rather than the characters, it just seems to completely overshadow them imo.
You ever thought of doing space scene's with nebulas and stuff? |

Which image? The Dark one or the Bright one? The dark image was turned down...so the new one is the Bright image. If it's the bright image you're reffereing to I am thinking about taking out the BG alltogether |

I like it. Love the sharp clean lines you have. I would definitely suggest removing the blur, it's not really reading as coming from the boards, just looks kind of muddled. It kind of ruins the sharp, clean look of the rest. I would also either tone down the background a bit or replace it with something a little less intrusive. But I really like this. |

heh...thanks all....actually the Boy in the Background is Bader...and the one in the forground is Koobie Anyways thanks for the comments. Concerning the image I believe that i got it so....you should be able to go to any Babbages, EB or Gamestop or whatever and get one of the booklets and that should have the half page. The 11x17 will be on the walls so....gotta come to the con to get that one....and those are free I believe. I will also be bringing the Ghost Police one as well 11x17. But those will cost. |

wicked, although i think the hand on the girl in the background could use a different shading, or something to bring out the shape a little more. |
