I love it, having trouble with the right knee though. Is the cloud in front of it, or is the knee indented? Nice water. |

Sweet! That really is completely different. Although I don't know which bothers me more: No face, or no balls. |

this is beautiful. i love the way you captured the translucency of the skin and flesh..got any tips to share?
it might be a silly question- but did you use any reference for this one?
oh, and i second goatlord's right knee issue..feels wrong that the skin doesn't stretch more on top of the joint. (but that's nitpicking anyway). |

Wow, you have an awesome mind. That is so unique.
It is so incredibly ugly, but I can't look away. Wow.
That water... in Painter 7? That is phenomenal, it looks photorealistic.
You are awesome. |

The head looks a little light to me...I feel the shadow under the chin should be darker.
But what do I know...you are the guru! I cant paint 10% of what you can. |

Darn you for putting such beautiful technique and envious lighting on a critter so grotesque I hate and love looking at him.
Um,... good job? Seriously, any tips for that beautiful lighting? ;} For that, I'm in awe. |

Hey, I'm new here...but I'll crit anyway if that's ok with everybody.
I like this pic a lot and I think you've capture the tones of flesh very very well. I thought it was real at first. However, there's a slight problem with it's "anatomy" I guess you could call it that. The left side of his torso (our right) seems flat and non dimensional compared to his right. It could be intentional, but for me it ruins the belief that he's "real". This includes the right peck and the right side of the belly. Maybe you want to add some shadows there to define it. |

Ugh! Horrible flashbacks of a 70 year old guy who modeled nude for figure drawing class and...dripped.
I'm going to have nightmares again. And they will look exactly like that.
BTW - As if it needs to be said, disturbingly well done. Now to complete the set, how about a walking vagina? |

LOL, balistic! I'm writing that into my next D+D adventure. We could say that all king's eunuchs created him to start an mutiny!
That is such a original pic! The lighting, skin tone changes and wrinkles on this guy all work together so well. And the subject is so damn wierd you've got to look at it again and again. You should be very proud of this one, Donseeg. No crits. |

Haha - I've always wondered what happens when you stay in the water for too long.
He looks like one of those dogs with too much skin. Nicely rendered.
While I'm here - just wanted to add how much I enjoyed looking at your other recent work (the woman with all those neck rings).
@Dr. Bang - You a urologist? ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

man you rule too much !!
i love your oil paintings
they are amazingly coloured and shaded !
i love the blankets and the feeling you get from looking at the pieces.
I wish we had enough long poses to paint like this in school...
unfortunately we only get a few hours
and im not a very good traditional painter yet, need to get the hang of it..
we have to use acrylic
not oils unfortunately
thanks for the post its great ! I enjoy the man in the water too, very good abstraction of his body |

I was getting many questions about my inspiration for the image. Well here is the sketch that was the motivating force. I have also posted some close-up images of the skin textures.
Thanks for all of the very kind comments and valid critisims. I hope that I made you laugh.
