Nice - The maks looks really shiny and detailed. The arm on the right looks strange - the muscles look a little like large spheres glues onto eachother.
His waist seems very slim compared to the upper body...
The eyeless maks is a little freaky though. I think it might be suiting if he had a large and bulky suit on - to suggest that he~s very deep down. Add some solid particles floating around too... |

thats totally kick ass.. I feelin the surroundings and environment big time. I love most is his dynamic pose and tilted head. the mask is plain cool too, even the visor... I like it. |

First post on the Finished Work forums - so i'm unsure of what info. to include about this piece ... loosely inspired by the underwater cyborg thread, the initial stage was an A3 pencil piece... pencil sketch
... continued in p'shop as an experiment using a mixture of brushes and techniques to see how far i could take it - canvas size was roughly 3900x3400 (300dpi)
as far as being happy with the result.... reasonably, though i can see areas where i might have continued to fiddle with or tried a different approach to....
comments and criticisms are welcome

Novacaptain - thanks - - stylized anatomy without reference is always hard to get spot on, i'll try an do something about the arm.. (tho' the way i approached the image makes major changes pretty tricky) - the idea was a surface-type diver (hence the surface lighting, colour choice, weights, flashlite and airtank - i might try and design a deep-water bodysuit in the future, but these features would probably be incorporated into the suit ) - yep - variation in particle sizes, thanks for that .
swampbug - thanks dude - i'm glad i managed something believable with the environment an' i'm happy you like the pose
maceface - cheers matey - aaargh - you caught me out - i thought about the bubbles about half-way thru and was trying to find some mental excuse as to why there weren't any - gonna be tricky with a mouse but if i can't get them into this one, i'll make sure they appear in future efforts
I'll probably leave off on this one for a bit so i don't get stale on it, but thanks for the feedback, it's been helpful. |

I think that there is very bid difference betvin level of detail. The diver looks greate , but other stuff is too "bold".
Anyway the pic is good.
PS: sory for english. |
