Joao I really like this style of rendering, and you've done a great job with it. I love the heavy lines combined with the subtle color.

I usually don't like mgs pics (it's been done a lot) but I really like your take on it.

really kool!
one tiny little thingy: his index finger looks too thin and small, especially compared to his little finger, which is a pity: really kool ninja dude with little stick for a finger

good work.

That's really nice. Reminds me of Travis Charest's Metal Gear work. I know it's probably a style thing, but the size of his nose really bugs me.

That is really... really... swift.

I kinda get the impression his face would be unsymmetrical if he was looking straight at us. Something about the left & right side of his face looks a bit wrong, but I can't really say what.

Anyway, this is awesome. Nice work.

Thank you all!

rc Robin: yes, now i can see, the finger is too short... thank you, i'll try do correct this.

Pat: yeah, his nose is kinda "big" now with your funny demonstration hahahah... but i always draw solid snake with a big red nose , i dont know why ( you can see it in a watercolour that i painted)

but today his nose is damn big

ceenda: He's not looking to the observer, i tried to do his eyes looking to nowhere ( yes it's true).

Once again, a nice piece with nice color choices. I agree with the finger issue, but the nose doesn't bother me much (no offense Pat, I respect your opinion on many levels). A comment would be to add more highlights to the weapon that coincide with the facial highlights? It looks a tad flat...
Also, I dig that background. Is that some of your watercolor activity again?

Good job. Post more please.

I always love nice shiny red noses. After all it's pretty cold out there for old Snake.

My lil nitpicks are probably in the nose as forementioned and the hands. The size of fingers and particulary the pinky...I just can't see Snake or any type of male gunman holding up a pinkie with a gun in their hands. ^^;; nitpicks

The angle of the gun is off. (If you think of a clock laying on the table at just about your eye horizon line) The hand looks like the hand angle is facing between 10 and 11 o' clock. But the butt of the gun looks like it is facing a little past 9 o' clock.

Do you know what I mean?

Personally for me, Solid Snake should be a bit more ruff and tuff. This maybe your own impression of him...but if you want ruff and tuff Snake...

You can probably add a 5 o'clock shadow to his face and chisel his cheeks by adding some light shadows. Then you can probably frazzle his hair or typically make it shorter to save you the trouble. Right now, it looks like he's on show for a Pantene Pro-V commercial

I find there's an error on the right part of his neck. It looks slightly off balanced and probably the edge of it should be moved a bit to the bottom left direction.

As a nitpick, I think this pic would be even better if you gave him a real gun since MGS or just MG is so focused on realism. I believe he uses a USP Socom.

MK23 SOCOM w/out underside flashlight and silencer

Snake is a gruff old bastard with a really big bandana over his eyebrows, all kinds of straps and layers and clips and whatnot on his uniform, something of a mullet (at least in MGS2), big grubby hands, piercing little eyes, a perpetual disgusted militant expression, and a can of whoopass in each hand, not some futuristic laser zapper. So, there! <spits on floor>
By the way, awesome painting. I really like the background. I think it'd look "cooler" in blue.
